Progress Physical Therapy

I experienced relief from my chronic knee pain in an amazingly short period of time.

I first came to Progress PT because I was suffering from significant knee and foot pain. I am an elementary school special education teacher and I am in my early 20s. My job requires me to be able to chase children, to frequently squat down to be near my students, and to be on my feet for extended periods of time. I have seen multiple doctors and physical therapists over the years trying to get relief from my pain, but nothing worked. Eventually, my mother got tired of listening to me complain about my pain, so she sent me to Progress PT for an evaluation. During my first visit, Lori identified that due to an unusual combination of a genetic rotation in my left foot and left hip, my body was out of alignment, which was causing my pain. Lori helped me stretch out the tight muscles and fascia in my gluteus maximus and my feet, and then doctored up some over the counter shoe orthotics for me to wear. To my surprise, I experienced relief from my chronic knee pain in an amazingly short period of time. I can now do squats without pain! And before I met Lori, I didn’t even realize that my feet were not supposed to hurt at the end of the day. According to my fitness tracker, during a typical school day I normally take around 11,000 steps. Thanks to Lori I can now make plans to do something fun after work instead of spending every evening nursing sore feet!
