Corporate Wellness

As the health care industry struggles to reduce spiraling medical care costs, progressive companies are focusing on a different aspect of the equation; finding ways to reduce the need for medical care in the first place. To that end, we offer an employee wellness program for employers who share our belief that workers healthy in mind and body contribute far more in their professional lives. We can accommodate five of your employees per session. Based on an initial screening on each participant and their specific goals, the program may be customized to include elements of flexibility, strength training, cardiovascular training and core stability.

Swiss Ball Class
"Core strength" is the exercise buzzword of the day, but what does it mean? It refers to the ability of your abdominal, lower back and postural muscles to provide your body with a strong and stable base, critical to both building better strength in your extremities and maintaining a healthy spine. Ball exercises are a unique and fun way to strengthen and condition your core. By challenging stability, the Swiss ball will help build better coordination, balance and flexibility.

Stretching Class
Feeling a little stiff? Hard to straighten up in the morning? Life's increasingly stressful and hectic pace wreaks havoc on our bodies, promoting muscle tension and inflexibility. More sedentary time at desks, computers and in front of the TV doesn't help. Our stretching class is the perfect antidote, designed to improve mobility and flexibilty throughout the body. Each session includes guided instruction in stretches from head to toe, addressing all major muscle groups (plus some muscles you might not even know you have).

Pilates
The Pilates method of body conditioning is a unique method to strengthen, tone, improve flexibility and enhance balance. All Pilates exercises initiate from the "core" muscles of the abdomen, lower back, hips and buttocks. If you have a history of back, hip or knee pain or are just wanting to improve your level of fitness, Pilates is a low impact means of reteaching your body correct form and movement.
